Convince Us We NEED an RV!

You guys have been such a great help so far! We have it narrowed down between 2 trailers. A 2008 Jay Flight 26BH, or a 2007 Jay Flight BHS. The price would be about a $3,0000 difference. Is the space worth it? Anybody have experience with either trailer?:confused3 With 4 kids, I like the idea of more space!:goodvibes Thanks for everything!:cool1:

Well, since they have the same GVWR (7500lbs), I personally would go with more space (no matter how minimal). 4 kids and a rainy day is going to make any TT seem small IMO.

Then again, a buck is a buck & we are just talking about 1' difference in length after all.

Are there any major differences between Jayco 2007 & 2008 TT? Maybe there is something there.

AlyLynn, is the BHS the 28? You are saving the 2' with the couch going the other direction. I had a trailer with the layout the same as the 26BH and I really liked it. I don't know if I would spend the extra money just to have the couch go the other way. :confused3

Good luck!

We have 2 kids & a dog and LOVE our slide. Although it only slides out approx. 18" it makes a world of difference on the inside. If it were me, I'd pay the extra for it.

Before you spend a lot of money on something that the family may not like, which I doubt :) , I would look for a nice used unit that you can afford and handle, ie towing, backing. And then after some trips, you will know if camping is for you, if your family would use it besides Disney trips, and what features that you would want/need in a camper. Armed with all that information, then you could find the camper of your dreams. We've been RVing since we were kids and have seen a lot of people buy RV's that they couldn't handle, or tow or just were not happy with them and in turn they hated camping and eventually lost a lot of their hard earned money. Good luck with whatever you decide, you'll always get a lot of help and advice if you ask!

Whoo hoo!! Congratulations! :woohoo: I'm sure you'll love it for many years to come!

Do you have a Camping World or the like near you? If so, you can buy a campground directory there -- about the size of a telephone book. Can't remember the name of it right now, but it has thousands of campgrounds listed in it throughout the US (and Canada?).

Enjoy!!

Congrats on the new toy!!! Pictures, we must see pictures!!!!

Congrats!

A great website is rvforum.net. Lots of nice people with lots of information. :thumbsup2
