Can you guys tell me why Crystal palace with pooh and friends is sooo wonderful?? How is the character interaction and food? Also where is crystal palace located in MK and will they make special accomodations for a special diet????? Any way you can help would be appreciated. See we are always hesistant about buffets but everyone keeps saying how wonderful it is here:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Well I can't help you with breakfast because we always go for lunch but the character interaction has always been wonderful & the restaurant is just beautiful. We do luch because we find it a nice mid-day break from touring MK. The food is nothing spectacular (in my opinion) but it's fine...we go for the characters & DD is 15 :).

You'll see it to the left when you get near the castle at the end of Main Street...you can't miss it...it's a beautiful glass building.

Hi there...

It is so pretty there - all glassed in and bright and cheerful like an atrium.

The characters drop by each table one at a time so you have the opportunity for a little visit and take a photo.

The breakfast food is very good - plenty of choices - I am not sure what kind of special diet you require - but it is a buffet, so you can choose your own foods.

CP is a short walk from the main gate towards Adventure Land..

Hope you go

OH MY .......I cant go to WDW without eating here. All of my great pictures with Tigger were taken here. The food is just what you expect , but when Tigger throws his little paw around you for that picture it is worth what you pay .:D

Let's put it this way... out of all the meals in WDW (including breakfast, lunch and dinner) CP breakfast is our all time favorite meal at WDW. We go at least twice during our trips. The food is great, the atmosphere is beautiful and the character interaction is the best I have seen anywhere!!! We always (during the course of a one hour stay) had Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger come to our table and Pooh was available in the center of the restaurant. I should also say that we have no kids so we would expect to be less of a "priority" for the characters (as we have been in many other character meals) but that just wasn't the case here.

I haven't eatten there before but from all the advice that I have read I made PS for breakfast at 8:05. I have seen pix of the CP and it looks lovely. It will be a cute character breakfast for the children and we will already be inside MK when the rope drops.

I made my reservations based on the character interaction and the beautiful atmosphere. I have a PS there next Sunday morning and will report back here.

This is my DH's favorite meal at the world. The food is very good and there is plenty to choose from. The place is very bright and the character interaction is very good. Now to find a way to work it into our plan for this trip!!

A couple of years ago, we impulsively decided to go to CP for a late lunch. One of my favorite things was that the server told us what pattern the characters follow to visit the tables. For an example, they told us if the character was at a certain location, they would be at our table soon after. This greatly alleviated the stress the kids had experienced in other places in going to the food line for fear of missing a character. In addition, it is a bright, sunny, cheery place and we had a great meal there.

I just checked the menu area for the CP (don't know how to post a link to it :o ), and it syas that the chefs are happy to help with special dietary needs - just tell the hostess when you are checking in for your breakfast and the chef will even come out to speak to you about your needs.

The website is www.wdwig.com, then click on "menus".

I need to learn how to post a link:confused: !

Oh wow! It did it all by itself! This newfangled computer technology never ceases to amaze me!;)

The easiest way to make a link is to open that page in a new window. Then highlight and right click on the web address. Choose copy. Then go to where you want to place the link and right click. Choose paste and you're done.

Anyway back to CP

Character interaction, great
Food wonderful
atsmophere, beautiful
Service, :p could be better

It is the last building on the left hand side of main street
All WDw retaurants have a good reputation of dealling with dietary needs. Just let them know ahead of time. Note it on your PS then call them a day or so before your PS.

We've eaten there for dinner twice and the food is okay. It is the character interaction that keeps us going back. They make you feel so special when they arrive at your table. Kids loovve it!

It's a great breakfast meal! Lots of selections, eggs (scrambled or boiled), bacon, potatoes, waffles, lots of fruit etc.! The characters are great too :) Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger all made it to my table and our waitress was really good about making sure we got to see them all. If you're a Winnie the Pooh fan, you shouldn't miss this one :p

We loved the Crystal Palace for dinner. Just the atmosphere of the Victorian dining room, and the Pooh characters we're great.

you're very welcome. I'm completely self taught, well with lots of help from my online friends. Most of those right here at the DIS.
I had no idea what I was doing online when I started out 4 yrs ago. Computers changed a lot since the Vic 20 I owned in school, and the first Apples we used in school, that came out back in the early 80's. I didn't have one or easy access to one for 15 yrs.
