well i finally decide on HRH for myself and nephew (14 years old) over the 4th of july week. i am not happy paying rack rates but am willing to make the sacrifice as this is his graduation gift. now of course, the minute you are all done planning, i start making changes. i REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to stay club level. i am thinking about it but not sure it will be worth it with a 14 year old. i am definitely looking forward to the free beverages as he drinks juice and water all day.

my question is, is the extras worth the extra $400 it will cost me to upgrade? i know from other posts that i have read that we can do breakfast and snacks in the lounge but there isn't a huge selection for lunch time. is this true? are there beverages that you can take to your room or down to the pool? lastly, what view do you get with the club rooms?

THANKS!

IMO $400 is way too much extra for club. I have stayed HRH club a few times but those times I paid a $50/night upgrade fee or lately, got a free upgrade. You might want to hold off booking club and wait till you check-in to upgrade for a smaller fee. To answer your other questions, Between about 10AM-5:30 PM there isn't a food offering in the lounge, only the beverages. You can bring drinks/sodas with you out of the lounge though. Lastly, club level rooms are standard sized rooms with garden or pool views. With the garden view comes nice views and views of the front entranceway and a parking lot. Request pool if you book club.

I agree with RyGuy. $400 is way too much. We just got back and decided to stay on floor 6. We stopped at the store on the way to the hotel and got soda, juice, water, and snacks. We brought a folding cooler (a tip I got from these boards ~ Thank You), filled it with ice from the machine down the hall and had beverage and snacks when we wanted them.

While there when we left the hotel, we left for the day. Usually got back around 7,(missing the appetizers) freshened up and went to Citywalk for something to eat, then back to hotel between 10 & 11, (missing the cookies)
I think we would have used the continental breakfast.

Either way you'll Love the hotel
