Anyone know what make / or model Convertible's National uses at the Orlando Airport? According to the "site" it says camero or similiar? Didn't think they still made camero's. Trying to plan for luggage. Thank you! :D

Plan on putting the luggage on the back seat. Don't remember what car I got but even the small suitcase wouldn't fit in the trunk.

The biggest thing you will get is the Chrysler (forget the name, used to be the Sebring). However, you can ONLY get SMALL suitcases in the trunk. I have a SAAB convertible which actually has one of the larger trunks and my 22" carry on, garment bag and briefcase pretty much fill it up!

Yep, the sure do make Camaros and the convertables are wonderful, but, like all Camaros there is no trunk space.
The other one I have seen is the Sebring. Nice car 11.7 cf trunk.

Actually production on the Camaro's and Firebirds was halted in 2002... You may still see some Camaro's in the rental pool for a while yet, but those are probably being phased out.. It was a sad day for muscle car enthusiasts.. I owned 2 Camaro's when I was younger (and childless, now it's a minivan *gasp*)

Anyway, I didn't happen to notice what was in the convertible aisle when I was in Orlando, however when I dropped off our car at National in Ft. Lauderdale yesterday evening, the Convertable aisle was filled with Chrysler Sebrings (or whatever they are calling them now) and Mitsubishi Eclipses.

Mitsubishi Eclipses was the car I got last year. I had to use the back seat for luggage. I don't think the car will work for 4 people, you might be able to squeeze 1 person in the back with luggage but there is no way the trunk will fit luggage for 2 let alone luggage for 4.

I guess if you have your heart set on the convertible you could send one member of your group on Mears with a lot of luggage.

Or rent it from Dollar for 229.00 a week plus taxes and fees, using KISS3 code. They have Sebrings.

I got the Eclipse on EA. There were only 2 of us so I put the luggage in the back seat.

Go to a local Chrysler dealership (SLOW TIME OF DAY). Tell them you're thinking of buying the car and that you're going to rent in when on vacation to see if you like it. Have them open the trunk for you. Either measure or bring your empty suitcases with you. The Sebring trunk may not be as large as you think.

I'm ready to ditch my 29 inch suitcases. Won't easily fit in trunks and they go over 70 lbs (although SW is still at 50).

The Sebring's trunk is approx. 11.30 cubic feet. Bigger than an Eclipse, but, not as large as a Sebring hardtop, which is 16.30 cubic feet. Gotta put that top somewhere. :)

I got a Sebring in Vegas last year off the EA. The trunk easily fit a larger hard side Samsonite suitcase, upright carryon w/wheels and a large duffle bag.

Hopefully that helps! :D

:( I wish you were right Gail, but, my 2002 Camaro SS is the last of a legend. "They" do not still make Camaros.
