I got this price from Alamo with the $25 off coupon which has to have a coupon number and contract number put in. I put in a couple of rate codes in and they both come out with the $215 price. Even though we only need this on our last 3 days, it is actually cheaper by far to do all of the days and start at the airport. Our hearts are set on a convertible so if you can make this cheaper it would be great! Also, with *********** (which I just signed up for) do you get to add an additional driver free?

Have you tried Dollar with the OCVB (Orange County Vistor's) It's a code I got off of Mousesavers and in the past it has given me the best convertible rates. (Or try Kiss2 or Kiss)

For some reason Dollar says there aren't any available for my time period. Do they have another place to rent from like the Dolphin??

Dollar does not have any onsite locations at WDW, other then the Grosvenor (sp?) Resort which is in the Downtown Disney area. The problem with this is it would take a realitivly long time (unless you took a bus from your resort to DTD, then caught a cab) to get there. Your rate isnt too bad for a convertable at that time, but like Carol said, you probibly can beat it with Dollar's good discount codes...

If you were trying a code or other discount with Dollar, and received a message that nothing was available, they may have exceeded the code or discount capacity, or they may have already rented all of that car class for your time period.

Honestly, $215 for a convertible for a week is a good deal.

I would not rent a convertible from Dollar except at the airport.

I attempted to pick one up one time at the old Holiday Inn. Let's just say it was not easy. They didn't have the convertible and it had to come from another location etc... Just not fun!

Thats always a good experience if you reserve small and they don't have your vehicle. My local edition Hertz usually has nothing smaller then a Fullsize Tarus and sometimes SUV's and Vans are the only thing on the lot (i smell sweet free upgrade ;) )

Leigha.........is $215 the total price with taxes etc for NINE DAYS renting a convertible?????

I just set up a deal with Dollar, that I think is pretty good. I found a code on mousesavers.com and made a reservation for a Std SUV for $293.00 for 9 days. By the time I looked the next day the code had been removed. I have my reservation code and printout and I just pray they honor the price when I go to pick up the SUV!!

I would hope they would honor the price since I booked through Southwest as well.

Disney 23 Days and counting

I think that's a great rate. I booked 9 days (USAA rate) for a full-size car for $215 total ($275 with taxes/fees--uggh) in December, but I keep checking back for better rates.

Yes, that's the total. The Base Rate is $163.73 plus $51.53 for Taxes, Surcharges and Fees for a total of $215.26. It doesn't sound like a bad price when you look at some of the others out there. A fault of mine is that I'm just always looking for the "best" deal though.

Wow that is a great price for a convertible Leigha. Basically $17 a day plus all those awful MCO taxes and surcharges.

Hope you don't have too big of a family though, not much luggage space in them there contraptions!

MCO is a fairly cheap airport for taxes and fee's...try San Francisco or Ft Myers, then you can have a good taste of fee's (on my upcoming Aug rental in Ft Myers , taxes on a $160 weekly rental are $53!!)
