Take the shuttle boat over to the
Magic Kingdom front gates.

To ultimately get to the MK? You can do that. Not the quickest route, but it’s doable if you just really want to ride the monorail. The resort monorail goes in a clockwise direction, so from CR will make stops at TTC, Poly, GF, then MK.

It would be quicker to take the boat straight to MK.

One could also take the boat to CR and walk from CR to MK.

Be aware that exchanging your certificates “activated” your annual pass, which establishes the expiration date. To get the most out of an AP, you want to activate it the first day you use it. I can tell, but it sounds like you’re trying to activate it a day before you use it. If you really want to do that, know that you’ll lose a day off the end.
