Contemporary Resort Cabana rental vs. BB Polar Patio? Which one?

Not sure which to choose, we are booked with a CR cabana for a full day but now I’m torn, should I book a Polar Patio at BB instead? If we go to BB it will be for the cross country creek, maybe 1 or 2 other rides but unlikely if there is a wait. We have the park hopper+ so no extra cost to get into BB. I just keep wondering if a cabana is needed at the resort. Sell me on your choice!!!

A cabana is completely unnecessary at the Contemporary from my experience. You didn't say when you are going, but right now the entire tower at CR is closed, so it should be even easier to get some chairs. We've stayed at CR multiple times in the summer and never had any trouble getting chairs, plus the Garden Wing rooms are right next to the pool, so a quick trip to your room if you need something.

Not sure about choosing between the two (totally different experiences and for different reasons), but we love getting a cabana at BB. Mainly because it feels much safer to be able to have a dedicated and relatively protected area to leave your stuff (still use common sense with valuables) and to come back to when relaxing. Plus the service is a nice touch. They're pricey, of course, but we always get one when we visit.

BB for sure. If nothing else just the ambiance is so much nicer than the CR pool and it is a nice change if scene since you can go to the hotel pool any day

The CR pool is very "meh"--I'd have trouble spending the day there. I would enjoy the day at BB much more. In addition to the lazy river and a decent wave pool, BB is very lush while CR's pool area is a lot of hardscape.

If TL were open, I'd enjoy that even more.

Yes, we had the best experience in the Cabana at TL a few years ago. I like the dedicated CM, which, from what I see, the Cabanas at CR don't have a CM......I think that is odd. I definitely like having a CM around because at CR I would likely have my computer/Ipad and I don't want to feel like I can't run back to my room, or take a walk and worry about leaving my items out. I don't want to have to put everything in the safe.

Same here. Think it's just typical phone traffic. People have been reporting multi-hour waits to talk to operators. Maybe try during late hours.

I just called and was given the 2+hour wait, so I hung up. I checked a couple of sites and the price is estimated at $300 but season dependent. So I am guessing it fluctuates up and down based on demand?? For now, I have my Contemporary cabana booked. I may try to call Enchanted Extras to see the availability of the Patios. I did also look at a few you-tube vids and I don't see any curtains on the patios, which stinks for the shade, can't pull it to block the sun at different angles.
