Contemporary or Grand Floridian Outer Building during the Holidays?

Please help me decide. We would be staying in a theme park view room at whichever one we choose.

I have never stayed at either one.

I would choose the Grand. DUring the Holiday season this resort is gorgeous. Th eLoby has the Grand Pianist and the Grand Orchestra daily to entertain you. The grounds are beautiful and the service is stellar.

The Contemporary has the best theme park view if that is the most important factor. And you can walk to MK from the CR while you would have to take the monorail or boat to MK from the Grand Floridian.

We stayed at GFV mid December of '14. BEAUTIFUL lobby at Grand gorgeous tree, so festive, gingerbread house! Loved sitting in the Grand lobby early morning getting in the Holiday spirit!

Having stayed at both resorts, I have to agree with @Wood Nymph. If TPV is more important to you, I would choose CR as they do have THE BEST TPV rooms. But if holiday décor is your primary reason for choosing, then hands down go with GF! Can't go wrong with either one IMHO. Good Luck!

I agree with both Wood Nymph & mommyrosa2. If the view is top priority, go with the CR as it has the best TPVs. If decorations are most important, you can't beat the GF as the lobby and grounds are both beautifully decorated. Good luck.

Are the grounds decorated too? That's what I was wondering. We would be staying in an outer building so I don't think we would be in the lobby daily. From the map of the resort it looks like a theme park view room would be closer to the boat to MK, which means we wouldn't use the monorail often.
