Circumstances have changed and we will be adding my sister to our TPV Contemporary room reservation.

Will I be able to stand the daybed for four nights???

It's really only big enough for a child. My DD didn't even fit on it comfortably and she's 14, 5'2". My DS is 9 and he slept on the daybed at the GF which I believe is the same size as the CR and he was comfortable.

My son has slept on it and he is 5'9" and over 200 and thought it was fine.

Okay, two differing opinions is a wash. :goodvibes

Anyone else?

Okay, if it helps, I just looked at my pictures from our CR stay & the daybed is bigger than the one at the GF that we had when DS slept on it. I think you'll be fine, but I still question a larger person being comfy for 4 nights on it. That's just IMHO ;)

My brother slept on the CR daybed and he's 6'0" about 220. He was fine (but then again, he is one of those people who can sleep anywhere!)

I am 5'2" and I reserve the right to omit my weight. :rotfl: I just wondered about the thickness of the "mattress." Will have to search some to find a picture!

I think you will be just fine! It looked pretty comfortable to me. Not too thin.

I would take afternoon naps on the bed. I am also 5'2" and will not say my weight, but I am a wider individual. I found the matress thick and comfortable. But I thought it was a slightly narrow bed for a wide person. I was so tired from the parks that I didn't have a problem sleeping on it. I think you'll be fine.

It's a normal twin size bed. Make sure you open it up. When we were at the CR in 2007, we heard purple complaining, found out they hadn't opened the sofa up. They thanked us the next day.

My son slept on it a few years ago and he was about 5'8" and 150 lbs. He's older, taller and heavier now. But I'd bet he could still sleep on it.

As stated when the bed is open, it is the same size as a twin, so if they will be comfortable on a twin bed, they will be fine.

Unless they've replaced them in the last few years with much smaller ones, they should be a normal twin bed size. I'm 5'10 and I've slept on them at the Poly and Contemporary.

On a similar note, has anyone else felt that the beds at the monorail resorts are much bigger than those at the Yacht, Beach, Boardwalk and other newer hotels?Only noticed that after a split stay between Poly and Beach.
