Contemporary construction

Does anyone have an idea of when the construction at the Contemporary will be completed?

According to the renovation schedule the lobby construction should be finished sometime next month and I was told by a Cast Member at the Sundries Store the new store being built on the 4th floor should be finished by the 1st week of December. Once all that is done there should be no inside construction until the closing of the Concourse Steakhouse, so that location can be changed to Chef Mickey's Express which would be the new counter service location. It was suppost to happen in April 2008, however crazy4wdw has reported that they are now behind schedule in this post.

Disney is behind on its initial schedule for the rehabs at the CR. The new shop was supposed to be completed in August and the construction didn't start until Sept. It's rumoured that they're hoping to have it completed before Thanksgiving. Disney has not started construction of The Wave yet. They just submitted construction permits to Orange County. Its now thought that The Wave will most likely not open until mid to late summer 2008 which would delay the construction of Chef Mickey's Express.

As for the construction outside where the North Garden Wing buildings use to be, they would most likely be working on the future DVC buildings for another 2-3 years, so don't expect that to be finished anytime soon. However since that is happening outside it does not effect any guests staying in the Tower or South Garden Wing.
