Contacting VMK about wrong codes

I know I've read something about codes not giving out the correct stuff in the past, but I don't remember who ppl were contacting.

My sister just got back yesterday from Disneyworld. Of all the cards she brought back, everything worked with the exception of the gold ears cards. She brought back six of those (we went on a big spending spree with ears):), and not one of those gave gold ears. They all said they were for ears, but each and everyone gave the Happiest Celebration pin.

For those of you who have had this problem, did you contact the VMK homepage link or the Disney site itself? And, if the problem was resolved, how long did it take?

When I had that problem, I first reported it to the VMK page. When it said type in the code there, the code doesn't get sent in the email. It just determinds if it is a vaild code or not.

The best thing to do would be to go to a Disney park, or ask someone to do it, and then go to guest relations. They have plenty of every card there. :)

Just a correction in relation to WDW in specific:
Guest Relations does NOT have any cards. You have to go to VMK Central to get any replacement cards. However I am not sure if they have Gold Ears cards since they do not give them out, but they are very close to the hat shop so possibly could get some from there.

The problem I had with codes was a little different (the codes said not valid), but it was handled by replacement of the bad cards at WDW's VMK Central. Of course I entered the codes from the new cards there to check them out. I did submit this problem on the VMK Contact Us form and never received an answer on it.

I will be going to WDW on Monday or Tuesday and will check with VMK Central to see if they can handle this problem.
 

my DD and i had the same problem(we went feb 12-19) with the golden mickey ears codes. we got the happiest elebration pins. i bought the hats only for the specific purpose of getting those darn golden mickey ears. i was able to find someone kind enough to gift my DD a pair of the golden ears, but i still don't have any.
I sent a email through the contact us button using the one about a code not working, and still havent heard anything back.

Hopefully you can get yours fixed!

I also had the same problem. I got over 20 gold ears cards (had a lot of family with me), and three have had that happen. I haven't typed them all in yet though.
 
Same Here. I went in December got 2 hats with 2 gold ear cards. When I got ho.ime neither one worked correctly. I spent 2 months senting emails to VMK from the front page "contact us" link. I never got a answer to the 20 emails I sent on the subject. I had to make a second trip to the park to get it fixed. The ladies in the hat didn't know know anything about the cards not working and claimed that no one had ever complained about it before.

I had to go to VMK central and talk to the cast members there. After talking to 2 people I finally got 2 new cards and I put them into the computers there at VMK central on my account and they worked. Seems some of the cards at the hat store don't work.
 
I may be getting myself into a lot of work with the following offer, but so be it.

If you have had this problem with the gold ears cards giving you Celebration pins send me a PM. I am in the process of working on getting someone else's replaced and possibly could do the same for you. The process would mean you send me the bad cards, I go to VMK Central to replace the bad cards & test the replacement cards, I then give you the ears in game, and send you the new used cards (if you wish).
