Construction Update on DLH and Grand Cali?

I have heard they are adding a wing to the Grand Californian. I also heard there was plans to remodel the DLH. Does anyone have any updates on this? We are planning a Thanksgiving trip at DLH. Thanks!

they are currenting adding a wing to Grand Californian. It features as a DVC hotel wing as well as some additional rooms.

For DLH remodel, there isnt any offical news. However, there is rumors that Disney will host some sort of agreement with the new Garden mall just down the street.

What exactly is the Garden Mall and how will that affect the DLH?

The GCH expansion is due to go through Late 2009, so it will definitely be in process when you go in November.

For the DLH, Honor Hunter over at Blue Sky Disney just posted today that:

By spring we should see some form of an announcement and by the end of the decade the hotel will greet visitors with a brand new face... a brand new look.

The Gardenwalk is a Mall/Hotel/Timeshare complex being built on the opposite side of DCA from the DLH. It doesn't really have anything directly to do with the DLH remodel; just part of the overall rumor "buzz" regarding DL hotels.

Gardenwalk mall will become a rival to DTD. Im sure DIsney probably has some part in the construction considered that they let it build so close to Disneyland.
