Construction of Wyndham Resort Begins Near WDW

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts today announced that construction of its 400-room luxury resort in the Bonnet Creek Resort complex adjacent to Walt Disney World.

But they don't really count, since they are not "on-property", right?

Now, just because they have to go on property just to get off property...

Is this just another set of buildings going around that lake? I thought that area was completed already.

The Bonnet Creek Resort master plan still has a long way to go.

So far, the only thing that's there is the Wyndham (formerly Fairfield) timeshare resort, and it's still growing.

The next project, which just began, is a 400-room Wyndham resort hotel.

Two other resort hotels are under construction at the Bonnet Creek Resort: a 1000-room Hilton and the 498-room Waldorf-Astoria.

And there's at least one more site in the Bonnet Creek Resort master plan for another deluxe hotel, if I understand correctly.

We were there April 2-6 and they are building. It's the skeleton of the buildings right now, but there were a LOT of guys working there.
