We own at AKV and BLT, and for the last 3 trips we have stayed at BLT and loved it. We only stayed at AKV once, before Kidani Village was built. We stayed at what is now Jambo House. We are now thinking about staying at Kidani, because of the extra room and bathroom. What I would miss by staying at KV is the Counter Service at Mara. We always have our own car when we are in Orlando, so parking under the building seems like a nice feature. Has anyone requested to be at the end of KV closest to Jambo, so that you can have an easy walk over to Jambo? How long of a walk is that? We have two daughters, age 4 and 1.5, so we don't want to exhaust them with too much walking just to get lunch or dinner at the Mara.

It's about a 10-15 min walk or you can take the bus.

They now have a van that shuttles guests to and from Kidani/Jambo exclusively. We just returned from a wonderful stay at Jambo. We ate at Sanaa twice and used Kidani's pool. The shuttle was great. We never waited more than 5 minutes for it.

We didn't request it, but we had a room on the very last bead closest to Jambo our first Kidani trip. We HATED the location because it was so far from the Kidani lobby. We were, however, able to walk out the door on the end and take the walkway over to Jambo in about 5 minutes. It takes almost as long to walk to Mara from the Jambo lobby as it does to walk from Kidani to Jambo from that end. Also, you can take any bus and get dropped of at jambo too, but it will take a lot longer than walking.

The shuttle officially runs every seven minutes and is door-to-door. Very handy. I wish I'd known about it before the last day of my stay.

The south wing is the one closest to Jambo and if you want to be near its end you can ask for room near end of wing closest to Jambo or ask for room near the Zazu elevator. You can take that elevator down and walk to Jambo in about 5 minutes. Just understand that if you are near the end of the south wing, you will also have a 5 minute walk (normal adult pace; significantly slower with little kids) to the lobby of Kidani and further to the pool.
