Considering DLP for NYE - any way of doing it without selling a vital organ?

I've looked at DLP many times over the years, but always back out due to the cost.

I can get 4 nights over New Year at the Newport Bay Club for 2 adults for £878, which is fine. However, I'm looking at £430 for Eurostar which definitely isn't!

Hi,

We are looking at the moment and I have so far come up with the following if it helps.

Dates 31/12/06 - 5/1/07
Flights (2ad, 1 ch) £179 from Norwich
Accomodation at Explorers (booking through opodo) £315.94
Total for all of us £494.94, plus £27.50 for airport parking!!

I think it is a bargain for 2 adults and 1 child, particurly as we have annual passes, which means that we get discounts off food ect in parks.

Hope that is of some help.

Don't know if this would be convenient for you, but flights to Paris CDG, with Easyjet from Bristol and BA Connect from Birmingham, are cheaper than your quote for Eurostar - though I don't know the dates, so can't be exact. Then add on about £45 for the VEA or TGV from the airport to DLP.

Nice to see you over here Debbie :thumbsup2
Can't add anymore regarding getting Eurostar cheaper but just had to say :confused3

What about driving down? You could get Eurotunnel crossing for about £100, then it's a straightforward 3hrs on the other side. You could go over the night before, and book a Formule 1 room for around £20 in France before the drive down the next day. Just throwing another option in. :sunny:

Is it only 3 hours from Calais?? Im gettingmarried in WDW in Dec but will be back before xmas, was considering a couple of nights at DLRP for NYE or early Jan.

Hi

Yeah its between 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours. We drove down from Bolougne in August. Its an easy route. We will be driving from now on. We saved so much money. Also have a look at Speedferries.com they go from Dover to Bolougne. Its a speed cat and so the crossing time was 50 minutes. This sometimes worked out cheaper than a Ferry and its quicker.
