Why not go out to Disneyland instead? The lead time for restaurant adrs and the like is far shorter than it is at WDW. And the new Carsland will be open. It's a great trip.

OP- seriously though, what good would this possibly do? What if everyone felt this way. The state of Florida would crumble, people would lose their jobs, their home, and then what? Now there is more weight on public services, which the state couldn't take on since their tax revenue would be down, so then what? Then the government would have step in to help all these people. If that happened then guess who would be paying for it. You! So it's really a no win. So you may as well go and have fun since you would end up paying anyways.

I'm surprised that someone from New York would cancel because after 9/11 NY was begging people not to cancel their vacation plans.

I understand the OP's feelings. One way we vote is with our dollars. I will never again spend any tourist dollars in South Carolina because of an experience my family had there with a very nasty state trooper. I'm not sure I could give up Disney World and Universal Florida though!
