aww anya I'm so sorry I agree it was a very stupid move to close the quest in the middle of the day. It doesn't make any sense. More people would have gotten to finish if they would have just let it run through until close. I second that;...morons!

VMK if you are going to end things mid-day then put it on the Newsletter so that everyone knows from the very beginning. Don't let us find out as 9PM the night before from a host. HAVE IT IN THE NEWSLETTER FROM THE START!!!

I ran sweepstakes for 2 years. EVERY sweepstake / contest ever ran has not only a closing date, but a time.

"All entries must be received by ____________ on _________" (insert date and time).

When will the team that runs VMK Events (not the hosts, the behind the scenes ppl) decide to get their act together and be professional about how things are done? Oh wait, I guess we know that answer don't we? When we pay for it.

Why am I not surprised that the 1 thing that has excited me in VMK in over a month ends in confusion and disappointment to so many? Maybe it's time to step away for a bit. There's sunshine outside.

VMK's biggest Quest ever! Search the Kingdom for clues and be one of the few to find the bounty. Read PirateVinnie's Tales for clues and then set a course for adventure! Many will start, few will make it to the finish! Will you be one of the lucky few to claim VMK's Buried Treasure?

This Quest is big, has many challenges and will require you to play games and find the clues hidden throughout the Quest! If you can't make it through the big Quest, try the mini Quest – it has great prizes too!

NOTE: You will need pen and paper handy when playing this Quest.

Cheaters never prosper. Any players using aides – such as software programs that hack, log into or play VMK for you, answer guides – to complete this Quest will be disqualified from the Quest and as a violation of VMK Values, permanently banned from VMK.

I totally agree. And ending it mid day is unfair to people who work or go to school. I am embarassed to admit that I stayed home from work this morning in hopes of finishing this when I saw the thread was started that Host Phinny said it ends at noon.

But we should NOT have to rely on an OUTSIDE posting board for information from VMK on Monday night. VMK should have stated it up front. After all, how many people could have gotten that info from Host Phinny themselves in game last night. Especially considering how many were still questing or trying to help their friends!!

They should have had it up there since they first unveiled the quest details
in the newsletter. They can't just change their minds like that and give people
only 5 HOURS to stumble upon that info.

I feel SO bad for you pirate.anya. I would seriously pretty much cry if that
happened to me. I spent 60 hours on the task for pirates and if that was how
it ended for me, I would have been so p'ed off for sure!!

Not to mention staff has continually said they don't know release info and details on the game. also anothe staff report yesterday said close and then top it off with April fools day. Who beleives what today anyhow, I feel it is fair to blast them a contact note about the time change, the rest of the quest is what it is. I was plaqued with an internet outage and am using a bad connection, My dd8 just missed completing the quest by 3 minutes - it ended as JC finished.

I think the lack of fairness in the late update on the end time is undebateable most quests have ended at a definative time, and they had to know the time when they started it, how hard would it have been to give that info on home page at that time.
