Connecting rooms - guaranteed with two adults and minor children - I found out too late

At check-in, we didn't received the rooms or section we requested via TouringPlans fax, BUT they were connecting rooms on an upper floor, like I asked over the phone and on my online check-in! Seems like Disney will always prioritize requests made through their system, over external requests, like thru TouringPlans.

People say on here that anything you request at online check-in will override previous requests that you made. It's possible that a request at online check-in won't override a request for connecting rooms but will override whatever you requested through Touring Plans. (I am not speaking from personal experience.)

Advice from my travel agent was to make connecting out only request, and not to make any requests during online checkin. The TA entered the request for us when she booked the reservation. We got connecting.

Updating, we just got back from trip and did indeed get connecting rooms!
