They don't slam shut like the outside doors if that is what you are asking. If you are worried about small children locking themselves in I would take a towel and fold it a couple of times lengthwise and drape it over the top of the door near the jam. This prevents the door from closing. We do this at home with our kids' rooms and when we travel so little fingers don't get pinched.
It's not small children that is a concern- I would like to have the doors open while unpacking, relaxing, etc, and wondered if I should bring door stops to keep them open when needed, or will they stay ajar when opened. Thanks for the tip though!
The doors that we have had stay open by themselves. Although the kids seem to have too much fun slamming the doors shut and watching the bounce back when the parents aren't looking.
Unfortunately, they do stay wide open. My mother-in-law insists on having connecting rooms with my husband and me (no, I do NOT like it) and she always wants to have both doors open "so we can visit". and my husband won't shut ours because "it would be impolite".
Next time, I'm demanding adjoining rooms and turning down any connecting rooms we get.
