We are considering adding a room to our existing reservation (the 5 for 3 offer), so that there would be one adult and one child in each room listed for the reservation.

I know that the GCH doesn't guarantee connecting rooms, but is there a way to increase our odds?

We're not sure what we'd do if we didn't get connecting rooms as we'll be traveling with a 4 yo & a 15 mo old.

On the other hand, dh and I don't want to be silent prisoners during nap time & bed times!

Well, I'd just stress that you are one family wanting the two rooms and hope for the est. We've always gotten connecting rooms when we request it.

Although there is no guarantee, Disney is really good about providing connecting rooms when there are small children involved. Be sure you have that on your reservation notes when you request connecting rooms.

I might even say something to the front desk CM like, "the extra room is actually for my teenage daughter, and I'd rather she be right next to us just in case". That would make it even more of a priority to put you in adjoining rooms.

Definitely will do that.

Well, that wouldn't exactly work since I don't have a teenage daughter. I'll have a 15 month old, not a 15 year old, lol.

Oops, I just caught that- sorry! Yes, I would then go w/ what MaryJ suggested. We're going to be in the same boat next yr. We will no longer be able to squeeze into a single room, and my fam and I refuse to stay off-property.

Just put in your request about your kids. We've done that many times at GCH, and have NEVER had a problem...we've always gotten connecting rooms.

Have a great trip!
