Hi all,
Which village is the "best" for a family of four (all mobile)- two DD ages 8 and 10? Also- with a fridge we can have breakfast in the room- cereal/milk, etc. right? Is it REALLY an hour to the parks? We need to decide quickly- February 2006 is getting booked up!
Thanks

I don't know where you are getting the 1 hour to a park unless you are figuring that you missed one bus and had to wait for another.

Trinidad North and Martinique are the preferred villages costing extra nightly. If you don't want those many folks like Jamaica which is a short walk across the bridge from the main pool and food court.

You might want to read the CBR FAQ's listed below. Yes there is a fridge in the room.

I like your pictures- I have checked them out before- can two active kids make it quickly across the bridge and island (with parents) for breakfast? Also, I wonder about "bus time," if it's not really an hour to the parks (phew) how long (about) is the ride to MK or Epcot?

DW and I loved our stay at Jamaica....it was far enough away from the food court and main pool to be quiet but just a short walk across the water away. I don't mind the walk at all in fact I really enjoy the island in the middle such a tropical feel with all that foliage and the steel drums playing....AWESOME! :wave2:

Like Michaelwilliammidd, we stayed in Jamaica building 45 and found the walk to the food court and main pool to be very short and pleasant. You may have heard to allow an hour to get to MK - this would be a maximum, probably. If you wait ten minutes for a bus (the maximum wait when we were there in early December), then it takes ten minutes more for the bus to make pickups at the other stops in CBR (Jamaica can sometimes be the first stop and sometimes it is closer to the end, depending on which access road into CBR the bus uses), and 10-15 minutes to MK, best case scenario would be about 30 minutes to arrive at MK from the time you get to the CBR bus stop. To be safe and allow for delays (longer wait for a bus during busier times, heavy traffic on MK roads), you should probably allow an hour. In all likelihood, it won't take that long, but better safe than sorry, or late.
