I just wanted to say Congratulations on Australia. You 100% Deserve this trip and I am so glad Disney sees the benefit to inviting you with no strings attached. You provide a service to so many Disney fans that even Disney themselves cannot duplicate. You tell it like it is.. Good or bad, you have no qualms patting them on the back for the good or putting them in there place when something does not seem right. You are a voice for so many of us and as we have always known Disney is listening!! They see how big of an impact you have on their fans and we are so happy that you choose to do what you do every day. Who would have thought this web site you envisioned not that long ago would turn into such an integral part of so many people’s hobbies and lives. You have connected what are sure to be life long friends and I cannot think of anyone who deserves this trip more than you... So go and have a great time.. You deserve it!!

I want Kevin to come to Oz too - I would like him to do some dining reviews of the Australian restaurants. I am itching to try Aria and getting Kevin to do a review is a good excuse for me to fly over from Western Australia to have lunch there

Of course the 2009 Mardi Gras led off with a float "Its a Small World" complete with dolls, so just add some podcast orange and the Podcast crew.....

Pete has been posting on his Facebook page that Disney offered him an amazing deal to go on the Adventures by Disney Trip to Australia. He turned it down as Pete had thought they wanted him to review it for the show and he had always had the rule that he would not review anything on the show he was not paying for. BUT… when he talked to Disney they said they did not want him to review it.. just to come and if he liked it tell people but no strings attached so that being said Pete is going to Australia in September like he has always wanted. I cannot tell you how impressed I am that he turned it down in the first place… It must have broke his heart to say no knowing how badly he had wanted to go for as long as he did but it has all worked out and I am so glad Disney stepped up and offered this to him!!

Ooh, September in Australia..

Lovely weather on the Gold Coast, probably even good enough for Walter to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef
Not too hot when going to Alice Springs - it would not be pretty even for an Orlando resident to go to the Alice during January / February. Orlando hot would have nothing on Red Centre hot.

Should be lovely weather in Sydney for the last part of the trip, the only thing to be aware of is that September is football finals season for both of the main codes. Aussies go slightly nuts in September depending on whose team is winning.

Best bit would be if Pete & Walter could take an extra week to tour around Sydney and the state of New South Wales for the wine & food
