Confusion about how early Uber/Lyft can do drop offs

Hi, in reading everything it seems like you can be dropped off one hour before the park opens...but is that one hour before the official time or one hour before early entry time?

For example, if AK opens at 8am but 7:30am for Disney hotel guests, can I be dropped off at 7am or 6:30am?

Also, what happens if you get there a few minutes early? Can you just get out an walk? What about at MK?

Thanks in advance!

If the parking lot isn't open yet the driver will have to circle until it does, once the parking lot opens you can be dropped off to wait until the park opens.

For MK you will be dropped off and then make your way to the monorail or boat to Magic Kingdom. Once there again you will wait until the gates open for guests.

Does anyone know the specific time? Would it be 7am or 6:30am in the example above?

Also, is it possible to get out and walk if you get there early?

most likely no to getting out and walking. as stated earlier if you are early driver will have to circle around. I would assume 630 for lot opening but unless you are hotel guest you are going to be held at tap in point until 8. if you would be at MK you could be held at monorail or ferry boarding until closer to 8 using your times

Following bc I need to figure out getting dropped off at AK. We are staying at the hilton in DS so we get early entry, but will have to uber/lyft there.

Thanks Betty...yes, I have early entry so trying to figure this out...it's a little confusing. I'm trying to find someone who has actually done this to determine if it would be 630 or 7am. I obviously don't want to "circle" for 30min :)

That being said, when you say most likely "no" to walking, would that apply to everyone? In other words, if I was at a resort where I could just walk to the parks, would they stop me?

No. People staying at the Epcot resorts walk to Epcot and DHS all the time. I think the PP meant NO to getting out at the toll booth or entry to the parking lot and walking from there.

you can walk from a resort that is able to walk but there are none that I know of for AK but you can not be dropped at toll booth for park and walk from there instead of circling

I will add a trivial data point; I wanted to be the very first person at AK one day (to get Boo Bash tickets for that night, which was "sold out" and to reserve an ECV). I got a Lyft, which picked me up at 6:45 and even though I had submitted my destination to reserve the Lyft, when I got in - they said, "Oh, I can't take you there now - they won't let us in." So, they drove for a minute to leave (I was staying at AKL) and dropped me off at the bus stop (which conveniently came like 2 minutes later). So, I don't know how far I could've gotten with the Lyft, only that they seemed to feel I couldn't get very far that early.

Replying to this since I'm the OP and have returned from my trip. I ended up getting a great deal on an Avis rental via Amazon so didn't use Uber/Lyft, but...the parking lots with the exception of HS all opened *at least* one hour before the early entry time. So if MK opened at 8am, had EE at 7:30, the parking lot opened just before 6:30am. HS was pretty strict about the 1hr rule and turned people away. So 9am HS open, 8:30 EE, parking lots opened at 7:30 exactly.
