the end of June I was able to change from poly to BLT the I couldnt get the standard view but was able to get the whole stay (1-30 thru 2-6) in the lake view

but since Im cheap I stretch everything I can--

so I waitlisted the 2 nights that werent available when I switched resorts

which were 1-30 and 2-5 now theres more nights that arent available

so what does this all mean--

do my nights get moved as they become available--or do all the nights ha ve to be open at the same time--in which case I doubt if well get off the waitlist

this is our first time being members its all so exciting but a bit confusing

thanks

Since you only wait listed two nights and did not book the available standard view nights, someone else booked those nights.

If you want the whole stay in a standard view, you need to waitlist the whole stay. Or book the nights that are available now and waitlist the missing nights.

If you waitlist the whole week, it is only filled if all the nights are available and you are the first name on the waitlist. Dvc does not hold nights that become available to fill your waitlist. It is all or nothing.

Plus you should check for availability yourself and not only depend on the waitlist process.

I do check the avavilablity regularly thats how I found out that more days were taken

when I did the waitlist I thought about booking the nights I could get and adding the rest as they become available--but then would I lose what I have

I dont want to change rooms Id rather keep what I have then changing rooms and Id have to change twice since only 3 nights are open now and they are in the middle of the week

what would happen if I would book the 3 nights that are open--keep watching and booking the rooms as they open up --but if I cant get all the nights I would have to switch--Ill keep watching

thanks

If you have the entire time in a LV room and only WL'd the two nights that were not available when you went to book, then if those nights open, they will either cancel that night from your LV room or will book it in addition to what you have, depending on how you set it up...which means you could end up messing up the stay you have booked.

As mentioned, if you didn't book the SV room that was available for some of your dates and now those are gone, then having the wait list for some of the nights is probably not what you want. If you don't want to move rooms, then I'd wait list the entire stay and hope for the best. It will be a long shot, but you can try.

Or, try to wait list the first few or last few nights if you are willing to at least move once. Just be sure that whatever you currently have waitlisted is going to give you what you want.
