Confused on the water park + add on for tickets

going in Sept. Planning on getting a 7day ticket non hopper. My dh hates the idea of going from one park to the next on the same day. No need to waste my time trying to change his mind on that.

What I'm trying to decide is the add on for water park option. It added 213 to our total. I was only planning on doing a water park one day since we didn't try it the first time we went 2 yrs ago. Isn't it cheaper to just buy one day tickets to blizzard beach or typhon lagoon instead of adding in the option?

Please forgive if I am asking a stupid question.:confused3

I believe it IS cheaper to do a Single-Day pass. However, since there are shorter hours at the parks in some weeks of September, (and there's always a chance of rain) - you could use the plus option to visit Disney Quest. You could also use it to visit Pleasure Island.

My question is just that I don't know if you could do a waterpark AND Pleasure Island in the same day? Anyone know?

yes, water park fun & more is independent of the park hopping. you can use up to 5 admissions per day (typhoon lagoon, blizzard beach, disneyquest, pleasure island, wide world of sports).

and yes, it is cheaper to buy a 1 day water park if that's all you're going to do beyond the main gates - that's why 1 day base tickets with this option get 2 admissions instead of just 1.

Hmmm, 213 for how many people? You must have kids Im guessing, it should add around 60 dollars or so each. Basically if you ONLY do 1 waterpark, buy it individually, its cheaper. If you do 2 waterpark days, or 1 waterpark day and disneyquest, the add on is a better deal. You get Pleasure Island with the water park + more though too, so thats nice, its about 18 bucks for that usually i think where as waterparks and dq are around 36ish. Look at PI as a bonus though, its hardly necessary with the state of PI and you might not buy it otherwise.

I have a silly question about water park and more option!
We booked a package and made our tickets, park hoppers, water park and more and no exp. What exactly does "and more" include? I learned from the boards here that we could get into PI. I've never had a CM tell me what our other options were. Can someone explain please. Thanks, Jennifer

I believe it's waterparks, DisneyQuest and Pleasure Island. oh, and wide world of sports

If you are only planning to have one water park day you are much better off purchasing separate water park tickets.

If you buy the Water Parks Fun and More option to your MYW ticket it will cost $53.25 (including tax) per person, adult or child. It will add one WPF&M entry per day on the base or hopper ticket (but two entries on a one day ticket).

If you purchase one day water park tickets they cost $41.54 adult and $35.15 child.

This upgrade may be done at any Park (including water parks or TTC) ticket booth or Guest Relations Office. If it is on your room key it can also be done at the Resort Lobby Concierge.

(Note each person must have their own ticket. Even though it adds multiple entries to your ticket, you can only use one ticket for one person.)

And the WPF&M includes: Blizzard Beach, Disney Quest, Pleasure Island (Multi-Club), Typhoon Lagoon, Wide World of Sports.

Don't forget, you get as many admissions as there are/were theme park days on the ticket, with a minimum of two. For example if you had a 5 day pass and used up 5 admissions on one day, there will be none left for the next day.

this just keeps getting more confusing. I must be reading too many posts, boards, and everything disney in one day. I can only process so much. :lmao:

SO if we did add on the water parks + option for $213 (yes thats for family of 4) we could go one time each day to either water park, disney quest, or world world sports as well as going to one of the theme parks? Oh yes, what about mini golf? Is there mini golf somewhere and it is included in the +more thing too?
But if we don't go to a park that day then we can't use the water park + that day? Is that right?:confused3

I'm not sure that's right...

This post, written by a moderator here who is also a CM at a water park who also already replied, might help. :)

Ok so I don't have to go to a park on the same day as the water park. I think I was confused because of the same number of days it gave you as park tickets.

Could I buy base tickets now then when there go to a water park and if we like it then add the +option for the difference?

You may add the WPF&M option to your ticket at any time.

However, you need to decide if you will be making only one visit or more than one; see my post #8 in this thread.

And how about this explanation, which uses a ten day ticket as the example.

This is a "canned" response with the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privleges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M enries remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, PI, TL, WWS). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, DQ in the afternoon, and club hopping at PI in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

(I work as a Greeter/Tickets/Guest Services at one of the Water Parks.)

You can spread out the use of the water park fun visits before, during, between, and/or after your theme park days and visit the various "minor" parks in any combination, order, or repetition. The hopping feature is not needed for any of this.

Yes you can buy a base ticket first and add the water park fun as late as when you arrive at the water park (within 14 days of first using that ticket card).

But if you bought a separate water park (or Pleasure Island) ticket first and later decided you wanted to visit another minor park or go to the same minor park on a later day, then the spent water park ticket cannot be applied towards water park fun on your theme park ticket.

If you have a 10 day, no expiring, park hopper with water park fun & more do the water park fun & more options expire when your park days are used up or can you keep that ticket and use it only to get into a minor parks until all 10 options are used up? Thanks for the help, this is very confusing to me even after reading and rereading the information.

no expiration means that the plus options won't expire ever, even if the main gate visits are all used up.

it's hard to explain/conceptualize, but using up all the main gate visits doesn't mean the ticket itself is no longer any good, it just means there are no more main gate visits. i usually explain it as red tokens and blue tokens. red tokens get you into the main parks, blue tokens get you into the options. once you use up all of one colored token, you still have tokens of the other color to use.

See the 5th paragraph of my entry in post #13 for your answer!

I am so sorry to have everyone keep repeating themselves, but I think I am not getting something, although the token analogy helped me alot. we are going in july, and plan on using the water parks during the middle of the hot days (haha), we have park hopper. how many days can I go to the water park...example can I do everyday do mk in the am...water park in the afternoon, and epcot every night if I wanted to? I guess an easier way to ask is...if I have an 8 day park hopper, can I go to a water park for all 8 days along with the main parks?

you can, but that would use up all 8 visits so you won't be able to use them for any of the other options, that's all
