OK - so I'm new to this site but did a lot of browsing trying to find a link re stroller swaps. The one indicating not to start a new thread but go to the following links did not have a link connection. Will be at DW in late Feb with four toddlers and trying to save on costs for strollers. Any ideas on how to use strollers without paying high cost? Thanks so much for tips.

could you bring your own from home? The airlines don't charge for them, they are considered assistive devices. You can gate check them, or check them with your luggage, cost is still free.

Bring your own is one way.
Rent from an offsite company is another way.
You can also use the board's Search feature (yes, it really does work!) to search for stroller swaps. You can also Google 'stroller swaps', since when the DIS put restrictions on any transactions involving money, some people went off on their own and started independent swaps. Caveat emptor ;).

True, most airlines will transport strollers at no cost as a courtesy, however, they are NOT, generally, considered assistive devices under the commonly understood definition.

That's what I've always been told by the airlines we fly with. (that's what they always call them when we check them in) :confused3 Either way it doesn't really matter. We've traveled quite a bit on different airlines and have never been charged for strollers or car seats, and we always have ours in giant padded bags.
