I have not flown in a long time. I just booked airfare for our upcoming April trip on the Southwest website.

We are flying from SFO changing planes in ATL then to MCO on Southwest. I want to call to add DME now that the flight is booked - do I give both flight numbers?

Our return flight is on Airtrans booked thru Southwest. Departing MCO changing planes in ATL then to SFO. Which flight number do I use for DME?

We have a split stay POR then AKVillas renting points. Will this impact how DME works?

Will I have problems using DME with the SW and Airtrans flight? I read I might have to take our bags with us on the bus for our flight home.

As I stated earlier I am really confused. Thanks in advance for helping me sort it out. :)

Your Disney's Magical Express (DME) reservations need to reflect your flights arriving at Orlando Int'l and departing from Orlando Int'l.

Your DME reservations need to be associated with specific WDW resort reservations. With two separate resort reservations at WDW, you should make separate DME reservations for each. Make a one-way inbound DME reservation, specifying your inbound flight and your first WDW resort reservation. Make a one-way outbound DME reservation, specifying your outbound flight and your second WDW resort reservation.

When Resort Airline Check-in (RAC) was launched in 2005, AirTran Airways and Southwest Airlines did not participate with RAC. That changed long ago. You can now use RAC with those airlines (also with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, and United Airlines). Just be sure to read up regarding RAC rules and hours.

Nope you wont have to take bags with you on the bus. Unless you have a early morning flight.

Keep in mind the RAC desk closed daily at 1:00 p.m. And they must have your luggage no later that 3 hours before your flight. For example if you have a 10:00 a.m flight you have to get down there by 6:30 in case there is a line of people ahead of you.
But if you have a 5:00 p.m just make sure you are at the desk before it closes.

RAC is a GREAT feature. Hand them all of your checked luggage and you don't have to deal with taking it to the DME. The getting it from the DME to the check in counter. All you have to do is head straight to security when you arrive at MCO.

For carry on bags just check them to bell services and retrieve them before getting on the DME.
