Confused - Can you book at 8 months or 12 months?

I spoke to Heidi today. First I thought she said I could call one year out to book the time and place of the ceremony. I would like the yacht club gazebo in October 2008. Later I thought she said that the gazebo could not be booked until 8 months out because if it rains the back up would be a room in the yacht club and conventions have first availability. Does anyone know if it is 12 or 8 months?

I was also asking about going on for a planning session. I can go the beginning of February but since I want to get married the end of October Heidi said this wasn't possible. She said the contract wouldn't be ready until the beginning of March and my deposit would not be paid. From what she was saying it sounded like no reception places could be booked earlier than 8 months. Aren't some locations available to book at 12 months?

In park receptions can be booked at the 12 month mark. Ball rooms are booked at 8 months.

Hi!

For Wishes weddings, theme park locations, Ariel’s, and Atlantic Dance Hall are the only locations that can be booked 12 months in advance. All other locations can be penciled in at 12 months and confirmed eight months before the event.

The California Grill can also be signed at 12 months.

Good to know - would it be safe to assume that all resort restaurants can be booked a year in advance? I'm thinking of the Wine Room at Jiko or the private room at Citricos...

I think that would be a safe assumption. I know that mostly the ball rooms are held until 8 months in case conventions want to book them. I know for 100% that the Cali Grill can be booked at 12 months because we almost signed there and then changed our date and locations. Not 100% sure about the other restaurants but I think that's right.
