Confused by which categories at BWV can be booked through CRO

We're thinking about booking one studio on points and one studio with cash next year, but would like them to be the same category to increase our chances of being fairly close together. I've read that boardwalk view and standard view rooms can only be booked with points, but that "garden view and pool view" can be booked with cash. Are those views the same thing as "Preferred"? Ideally we would want to be in the Courtyard preferred view area (rooms 53, 55,... 65.) Is that area bookable with cash? TIA

Pretty much they only send garden view for cash. However, they will list it on the Disney site as standard view...which is confusing. In terms of requests, I don't know how that works for cash stays and DVC villas, but I assume you can always request it.
