This question is for a family of 5, on the DP. I've tried to understand this, but the more I read, the more confused I become. ;) Sorry.....

I understand that now with the DP, we have to pay our tips to the servers. BUT I am confused. Does the restaurant automaticallly add in it's own tip that you are expected to pay (a certain amount) or do you just leave your own tip?

Is the tip amount added into your bill? If so, do you HAVE to pay that amount or can you just leave what you desire? If you are tipping in cash, do you just sign for the DP meal amount, "X" out the tip, and leave cash on the table?

Please help an old, confused, tired mom! LOL! :) Thanks. You've all been very helpful in answering my 100 questions about dining and I appreciate it!

On your receipt there will be a guideline for the amounts showing what 18% and 20% tips would be. It's up to you to decide how much you want to give.

There is an automatic added tip for parties of 6 or more (18% of the total bill). For a party of 5, you can choose to follow the suggested amounts listed above if you wish.

Can't seem to find the answer here..Some discussion about having to pay the tip in CASH?

Can someone answer definatively? Can't you "charge" the tip on a charge card? Most travelers don't carry alot of cash for security...

Thx....

You can charge the tips. In January we charged all of our tips onto our room card.
