Confused about purchasing tickets

I am confused about buying tickets. If we buy online and print at home or if we buy them in the app, how do we get an actual ticket to use for FP? Where does the exchange occur? Also, when we want to do MMH, do we just get in line on the morning we want to do it and somehow the entry will be noted on our hopper so that we are shut out from doing it again another morning?

Actual ticket will be exchanged for at the entrance turnstile. It's really quick. Yes, your ticket is coded for 1 magic morning entry. It will register as used & you can't do it a 2nd time. Disney thought of that one a long time ago!

Proceed right to the gate. The Cast Member scans the bar code off your app/phone/printout and the machine spits out an actual card stock ticket that is your actual park entry and FP ticket that they will hand to you. If you have a mulit day ticket they will snap your picture with the handheld scanner. the whole process takes ones of seconds.

Note if you do use the app, turn the brightness all the way up! Either do it before getting in line or know how to do it quickly.
