Confused about early entry to MVMCP

If they let you enter MK before MVMCP and corral you in Tomorrowland, are you allowed to ride anything before the official start time, or do you just have to stand there twittling your thumbs?

If we eat an early dinner at CRT when they let us in early, will we be wasting precious MVMCP time?

If you enter the park around 4 you are free to ride anything until 6. Then they will pick a Land to put party goers into where you can ride anything in the Land until 7 when the park re-opens for MVMCP.

If you have early dinner reservations you will not interfere with MVMCP time.

Actually, there is no more herding this year as MK closes at 7:00p and the party starts at 7:00p so you can go to any area you want to while waiting for the party to start.

From 4:00p to 7:00p there are no MVMCP festivies (like shows, photo). They begin right at 7:00p.

Exactly what beattyfamily said....the park was open to day guests until the party started at 7, the festivities started then. The CMs seemed to check some people for wristbands, but we were never asked to show ours, although we had short sleeves on. We saw plenty of people with no bands on, and they also had short sleeves so they would have been easy to spot. Most CMs seemed to be having fun and chatting it up with each other. A family boarded BTMRR right before we did and they didn't have wristbands on.
