CONFIRMED! You can use DisneyWorld ticket media at DisneyLand!!!

The policy of accepting WDW tickets at Disneyland has been going on for years. I doubt very much anything has changed. The people on the phones don't work at the gates and have no way of knowing about gate policies.

Thanks Mary! I guess it just sounds too good to be true! (Yeah I know they don't work in both places)
Why would the vacation planner people and the front gate people have different answers? They should all be in synchronicity!
Thanks again!

Unfortunately this is often the case, bottom line is officially they had stopped when WDW changed how they did their tickets, then it came down to resume allowing it and unfortunately the people who worked during the short time that it was not allowed were never informed of the change back from what I have gathered, I have had numerous people say no, including one who claimed to work on the whole ticket price change process, believe it or not the most accurate information on this matter can be obtained by calling WDW guest relations and if you have any problems, call them, they can help straighten it out, I am sure someone on here has the number as I do not, but I figured the worst that would have happened with us is we wasted $4 for our upgrade and would just go and but tickets. Now it will be easier if they are not on a hotel key, but they can still do it even if they are, but some CMs think the checkout date is the same as the tickets expiration and you just have to explain to them that it isn't, that they need to go back and call WDW.

Wow Thanks!
I would have never thought about calling WDW, but it really makes sense. Hopefully everything will be as smooth as glass and we will get those days switched over with no problem.
Thanks again for everyone's help!

Dear Nancy,

Thank you for your e-mail to the DISNEYLAND® Resort.

WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort single and multi-day tickets with remaining
uses should be accepted at the DISNEYLAND® Resort. Please note that
complimentary tickets or Annual Passes to the WALT DISNEY WORLD®
Resort
are not valid for admission. Regrettably, we are unable to guarantee
the
validity of tickets in advance by e-mail or telephone, as our Cast
Members must physically see the tickets in question. Please present the
tickets to a Cast Member at any Main Entrance turnstile for
verification.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write. We hope you will have
the
opportunity to visit the DISNEYLAND® Resort soon and trust your visit
will be pleasant in all regards.

Sincerely,

Just to confirm, we JUST returned from DL and used our WDW tickets on 3 consecutive days - w/o a problem.

As you approach the gate, simply inform the CM that you have to "swap WDW tickets." They pressed some button that called a supervisor over and asked us to step to the side so others could enter. When the suprevisor arrived, we handed him/her the tickets and said we needed to swap our WDW tickets. Again, he/she asked us to stand to the side and in less than 5 minutes, they returned with single day DL PH tickets and returned our WDW tix to us - minus one day.

The only down sides - it has to be done each day you enter and it does take some time when you are rushing to get to a ride (NEMO!) I was 3rd on line on Thursday and had to stand and watch all of these people that arrived after me enter while I was waiting for my tickets - but that was my chosing, so I can't get upset. Other than that, it worked completely flawlessly.

Newbie here with a quick question! My WDW remaining tix are on my Key to the Kingdom room card from my last trip. Will that be accepted at Disneyland as exchangeable ticket media? Thanks for any help! These boards are excellent!

Yes. You just hand the person at the turnstile your tickets and tell them you are using WDW tickets. Someone will take them in the back and verify that there are days left and return with a 1 day DL ticket.

Is there anyway to check if you have days left??? I used a few days in DW in March then we went to DL and I used another day but I am not sure if I have a day left. I am planning in going in March.

Thanks.

The only way to check is at guest relations. You can't call to find out if there are any days left.

Thanks so much for that! Very excited about this trip!

Ok, with the Key to the World card, all they do is take it into the back, call and verify, then when they come back they give you the same ticket as they would to a CM signing someone in. Note that this ticket can not be upgraded to any other ticket and that the WDW ticket had to have Park Hopping on it in order to be accepted.

Indeed there is:

Call Walt Disney World Ticket Research Dept.

407-566-4985; option #2

you will be instructed to fax them the fronts/back of the tix & they'll check them out & let you know what # of admissions are remaining.

took about a week to receive a phone call - good luck.:wizard:
