Is the layout of the studio appropriate for 2 adults & 2 kids?. Can it be upgraded to a 1 bedroom?

The studio is designed to accomodate 4 persons (5 persons, if one is under 3). There is a double/queen bed and a sofa which makes out into a double bed. Kitchen area has sink, microwave, small refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot and storage cabinets. Last year, we had 3 adults, with two children 2 and 4.

From what I understand, the DVC resorts are booked for this period, so do not think an upgrade to 1 bedroom would be possible at this time.
