Confirmed: Free dining and October 29 IS VALID For Check-In

Hey all,

Just opening another quick thread to confirm the free dining offer is now available and October 29 IS VALID for check-in.

We were able to get ASMo starting 10/29 and the CM was able to easily upgrade us to the regular dining plan. All went smoothly!

Called at 8:30 and was on hold for 30 minutes.

This is incorrect. You can book it for dates in October on the website.

There is some controversy about the October 23-29 dates. Currently you can book them with free dining. However, some people have been told on the phone that this was an error and the dates were not supposed to be included in the offer. If you need those dates, I recommend booking them ASAP in case they get pulled later.

I just booked with a check in date of 10/29, staying thru 11/5. We are going to Pop Century, maybe the different resorts are full on the 10/29?? I went on line now that the deal is up and it would also let me.

I just added the Free Dining to my reservation of Check in 10/27 and upgraded to the Dining plan from QS without trouble. Saved $657.72. No problems from the CM.

*** UPDATE - I WAS able to book another reservation online around 9:30 AM that DID allow me to check in on 10/29 with the package. I don't know how to change the title to my thread. ***

Go to "Edit" and then "Go Advanced". You can then change your title at the top of the "Edit Post" window.

I just tried for our 10/8 - 10/12 and the FD worked for the length of stay. Not sure if I want to chance it or not. Right now we are booked at Dolphin, but might think of switching for the FD offer.

Just spent 1:45 minutes on hold---first 61 minutes with no music, nothing, 45 minutes with music until CM "Astrid" come on the phone, she said that Oct. 9th through Oct. 29th, were black out dates for the new free dining promo. Of course I am going Oct 23-28th. Figures.I cannot change my dates because of booked air line flights.

She said the phones were ringing off the hook with people insisting that free dining was available during that time because the internet said so.....she said there were a lot of unhappy callers.....

I did get the room at POP with a 35% PIN code, so it;s not like I am getting no discount but the free dining would have saved me about apx.250.00.

I can tell you the CM you spoke to doesn't have a clue.... it's already published on the WDW website and FD DOES start up on 10/23....same thing happened to me this morning. First CM said no, when i saw it published, I called back, the 2nd CM said no too, I told her to go check the website, she did and apologized. Either way, it didn't help me as I'm already booked at the BC and all the rooms at the BC are excluded with the exception of the BC Villas. No doubt because they have been booked solid since last Friday...

You can book your dates online, or call back. October 23-29 ARE bookable with free dining right now, as I stated above, but they may get pulled. I wouldn't wait.

I was just able to add free dining to two reservations starting October 29. Hooray!

I only waited on hold for about 35 minutes. I added it to my existing reservation at AstMus for a suite with no problem. I had to pay an upgrade fee to get regular dining, but still saved $500.

Just called the travel agent - she's working on it now!!! We arrive on Jan 21, but I told her to get us a room-only reservation for that day, and then book the package starting the 22nd...that should work, right? I've never done this before!!

I got up this morning at 6am and immediately checked mousesavers.com for the Free Dining promo. Unfortunately, our dates were blacked out. I woke-up my husband to tell him the bad news... without some sort of great discount we'd have to stay off-site. I couldn't go back to sleep so I logged on here and read this thread. If it hadn't been for Mary's posts I would've been looking at off-site hotels this morning! Since we are on PST I was able to book FD at POFQ 10/23-10/29 online. It took all of 3 minutes!

Hopefully, we all got the discount we were looking for!
