on our first cruise, I got it in the mail right away. For the second one, they did not send a paper confirmation but instead told me that the confirmation number was the same as my reservation number.
Since i thought I better check, I called DCL. Even though i did not receive a written confirmation, the rep assured me that we are indeed reserved for parasailing at CC at the time requested.
When I booked our excursions via telephone I received a confirmation fax within sec's of telling the CM the fax number I was at. I put the phone down walked over to the fax machine, took the fax back to the phone and confirmed with the CM that it was all in order.
So I guess it depends on the CM you get for the reservations. The CM I got was very helpful in the selection process especially at CC.
I called them right at the 60 day mark and they had the confirmations mailed to my house and they arrived about a week after booking them for both us and the inlaws. They were typed or computer generated on Disney stationary and included everything we had signed up for at each stop by person!
I faxed it to them before they opened when I left for work. There is a spot to check that you would like a confirmation fax. When I came home for lunch, The confirmation was waiting for me.
