Hi all,

When calling to make reservations do you usually get a confirmation number for each res? I'm sure I did when I've made reservations in the past but I called to make all ours for this trip on Sunday and completely forgot to ask (had a coughing fit half way through and just wanted to get off the phone to go back to bed!) so have no confirmation for any of the reservations I've made.

Also when I prepaid for the Auberge in January I was told that although I'd picked the date and time, I'd have to call and reserve the table at 60 days anyway (did think that was a little odd). When I rang I was told that I have a date and time there's no need to book again. Is this correct?

The first time I was given a reservation number for ADRs was for our December trip and I've never had a problem with them on previous trips. If you're keen to have them you could ring back at a different time of day so you get different CM and ask. I found ringing first thing in the morning (7am) I got straight through to a very helpful CM. I hadn't realised the ADR booking line was open 24 hrs. Alternatively I've seen others advise to ask the hotel concierge or City Hall to check them as soon as you arrive so if there is a problem you can sort it.

I've never prepaid AdC separately but I also thought that when you prebooked it you reserved the date and time. I've read a lot of posts saying the 12 and 12.30 slots are reserved for those who prepay. Does it give a date and time on your confirmation letter? If not, I'd be inclinedto ring the booking number and ask.

Thanks, yes the time and date is on the revised confirmation I got after booking and guessing I'll receive a voucher or something at check in. It's not on our first day so not so worried, will just make sure I have everything printed off, but I usually do anyway.

Yes thinking about it, I think I've had them printed at City Hall before too so will do that when we get there just to be sure. May call and double check as Cafe Mickeys booked for our first evening and it's a table for 9 so may not fit us in otherwise if there was a problem! but will try at an odd time. I didn't realise they were 24hrs either so thanks for that! I works nights so may try at 3am one night once I'm back after the school hols, shouldn't be too hard to get through then! :)
