I'm going to fax in a grocery order this week for BWV. How will I know it went through? Who would I call to confirm? Can I confirm this at check in or would they be clueless? Thanks!

Interesting question. I've never faxed an order, but you will, of course, have a confirmation from the sending fax machine (or your computer) that it had been received on the other end. I would hold on to this, and maybe a day prior to my arrival call the resort directly and ask. They should know to whom to transfer you that handles those orders. I assume it would be the gift shop/store at that particular resort.

Chuck is correct. I have been at the store a number of times when they are filling these orders-the general store and gift shop is the place to call. Front desk may not know which end is up then again they may, you never know. The problem with BWV is I think they share the front desk with the non-dvc BW so they may not be on their toes on this subject.

So I would call the Screen Door is it? Thanks!

So everything that is on that fax order they carry in the store, including things like waffles, english muffins, etc.?

I wonder how much the bananas are in the store? On the fax they are .40. I'd imagine in the store they'd be 1.00?

If it works, it would be nice to have it taken to the room for us. If we happen to be there when it is delivered how much would you do for a tip? The fax already has a $5.00 charge on it.

Is it automatically delivered after we check in or do we have to call someone and give our room number? It would seem the front desk would need to know about this service?

Not having stayed anywhere except OKW, I do';t know the "name" of the store at your resort (sorry), but yes, everything on the fax list should be carried in the store on a regular basis. The may be temporarily out of stock on an item, like if EVERYONE was suddenly in the mood for a box of frozen waffles :), but generally everything should be available.

One nice thing about calling prior, they may be able to tell you if any particular item IS out of stock, and when delivery is expected. Since there is a delivery service charge added to the order, I would not think a tip is necessary, but I'd probably offer a small one anyway.

Also, when you call to confirm your order, you could ask for the procedure as to whether you should call from your room or if it will be "automatic". My guess, though, would be that you'd need to call, since room assignments can change and housekeeping will have rooms ready at different times throughout the day.
