Hi all,
I haven't been checking in, cause I have not been losing! I am up 2.5lbs, and I know that I haven't been following Atkins well. I wasn't posting, cause I am feeling bad about it and I think what is worse is that I know I won't be 100% on plan until after the holidays, and I feel like I shouldn't post until I have recommitted to doing this.
However, Tiggerlover pointed out to me that being accountable is a good thing (thanks, my friend!) and that this is something I need to do.
So, here I am, 'fessing up.
(On the other hand, there is no better place to be than here with my friends from W.I.S.H.!)
 
{{{HUGS}}} I think we have all been in your shoes at one time or another. Make the best choices you can over the holidays but don't obsess, life is too short for that, don't you think?

Tiggerlover is very wise, I believe :)
 
Thank you for sharing with me. I am glad to have read the post only to have some connection with you. I hope you are able to get up your strength and courage and continue with your eating plan.
 
Awww! Don't stop posting because you aren't 100% sticking with Atkins. This is life, not a contest or a game! :) We aren't judging you based on how much you lose or gain or whether you are under a certain amount of carbs per day or anything like that.

You hang in there and know that we all support each other no matter what - and in January just know that your enthusiasm will be all revved up again and things will start to look better!

I know I feel pretty crummy when I eat more points than I should or if I skip a workout or two, but I have to remind myself that it's not the end of the world and I am not quitting, just making the best choices I can at the moment. It always gets better! :)
 

Please, please do NOT stop posting!! This is not a special ON PLAN ONLY club!! We're here with open arms and open hearts whether you're doing a certain "plan" or not!!

I do know what you mean because I did the same thing when I strayed. I felt so guilty and ashamed that I started avoiding WISH. I have since realized that the people here will support me, even if my eating plan is on hold for whatever reason! Just posting and reading here helps me make better choices, not perfect choices but better than not thinking about my choices at all!

Keep hanging out with us! We really miss you when you're not here!! ::yes::

I am SOOOO happy to see you post again! I totally understand the desire not to post when you aren't doing well, I have been there. But there is something in having to admit you had a little lapse that helps to push you forward. I relate it to telling people how much I weigh, before WISH I never would have dreamed of telling anyone I weighed over 200 pounds, even the weight on my driver's license and military ID were false. But coming to WISH taught me to be accountable and that if I put the numbers out there I had better be doing something to make it better. So for me being accountable is a plus. And now you can't shut me up, I will tell anyone who will listen how much I weigh and what size my clothes are!

Hang in there, this is the holiday season after all and we aren't made of stone. Just indulge in moderation and when you have a day you indulge try to do a little extra exercise or try to really stay on program the next day. Do the best you can during the coming weeks and that is all you can ask of yourself.
