Was originally thinking a big house for our group of about 16 next November.:scared1: Now I've been thinking..........maybe 2 condo units 3-4 bedrooms each may help to keep everyone from getting on one anothers nerves. 16 people in 1 house for a whole week.........well, we're family and i love them but..............maybe we should have a little space. Any recommendations for a condo/resort where I may be able to find a couple of side by side units for a decent rate near disney?

how about Four - 2-bedrooms ?

bonnett creek might work - even if they can't put you in the same building - it is small enough that walking to the others won't be a big deal.

I stayed at Emerald Island in a 7 bed with 15 family members (some of who I was not thrilled at staying with :rolleyes1) for two weeks. I was worried that we would be on top of each other, and that some felony would ensue, but overall it worked out well. There was enough space for us to be together, but plenty of area where we could retreat for some peace and quiet.

If you are interested in a larger home at Emerald Island, you can find some here: www.StayAtEmeraldIsland.com

That's what we tend to do when we go with family. We all get along great, but kids are all different ages and this way the older ones don't have to worry about being quiet for the little ones when they go to bed earlier. And vice versa...little ones aren't waking everyone up in the morning. Just works better for us.

How about Caribe Cove Resort too? It is new, and the prices are very reasonable.

Have a great time.

We are renting 2 houses owned by same owner that are side by side in Indian Creek- one is 4 bed/3 bath and the other is a 5 bedroom/4 bath. There are 2 families sharing the 5 bedroom worked out to just over $100 a night each family with all taxes/pool heat etc. The management company is Alexander Homes check out their site. We have not seen them in person yet so can't give a real review on them.
There is also this site http://www.fhvr.net/large-vacation-homes-side-by-side.htm that lists several homes together or some big ones.:)

I was looking for something similar. We just received an email from this guy Dave Robinson informing that he has two 3-bd. condos (203 and 205) at Windsor Hills next to each other that would accommodate 16 people.

His web site is vacationcentralflorida.

Just check on the sleeping arrangements with 3 bedroom homes and make sure you are happy with them (that they work for your group). Typically (although not always) there are 2 people per bedroom and 2 on a sleeper sofa in the living room. Personally I try to avoid using a sleeper sofa for two reasons. They are not always as comfortable as I would like and the people using the sleeper sofa do not have much privacy & are limited to the sleep and wake up times of the rest of the household. Obviously your situation may be different, for example, if you have infants (using a crib) - maybe you don't need a sleeper sofa.
