You have access to the Concierge lounge from the moment you check in until the end of your check out day. If your room is not ready when you arrive you can still enjoy the lounge and its offerings. The same is true for your check out day, even after the 11:00 check out time.
Very interesting. I asked if we could do the Sunrise Safari on check-in day (since these safaris are only on Sun. and Thurs., I think) and was told I could not. I guess another unfortunate example of different answers from different CMs at MS.

We've since added the night before but we booked the Sunrise Safari the morning of the day we were then slated to check in and were not wait listed at that time.

I have been told the same information as you TWICE, two years apart. The most recent was when I was talking to the concierge person a few weeks ago, as I was looking to book both safaris during our March stay. It's not an issue because we didn't WANT to book the Thursday Sunrise, DH won't be there until later in the morning, but still, without my mentioning that, the CM says, well you can't book Thursday because that's check in.
I am not experienced (yet) but I have already learned that not all IPO's are created equal. I emailed a request for bunk beds and was told that the request was made. When I spoke to the concierge in person about the sunrise safari, I double checked that my request for bunk beds was made. He said it was but that there was a "trick" he would put in to help out, and that he needed to teach it to the other guy. (Just to be clear, we are staying at the hotel, not DVC. Bunk beds aren't an option for DVC.) Good luck!

Thanks for the clarification. We've had a few people ask if any of the AKV rooms have bunk beds like the AKL rooms do so I wanted to be sure you had the correct info on that.
