Concierge - Windham Hill Inn West Townshend, VT.
Spent last weekend at Windham Hill Inn in West Townshend, VT. The Inn is beautiful, with lots of antiques and Victorian furnishings. Breakfast is provided and is excellent. While we didnt eat dinner there, their dinner menu also appeared to be top shelf. We upgraded to a Special room, which gave us a fireplace and jacuzzi. The fireplace was extra nice since we are having the coldest spell that we have seen in years in New England. The Inn is near (1/2 hour or so) to a couple of ski areas Stratton is the closest. We ate lunch and dinner at a few of the restaurants around Stratton and had particularly good meals. The Inn offers Nordic skis and snow shoes. Unfortunately temperatures kept us from using them. We did some shopping, went to Manchester, VT to see the outlets: and kicked back and enjoyed the quiet. Id like to go back and try this Inn in summer. There is an outdoor pool and tennis courts. The Inn compares to Juniper Hill in Windsor, Vt. I would recommend both for a quiet and restful weekend with someone nice.
