I have stayed concierge before, but only through the middle of my stay. I have booked it upfront for our upcoming stay. What is the time table that the concierge staff will begin contacting you regarding ps and other concierge services? I;m wondering if I leave everything to them, or begin to do the p.s. myself?

When I called, the concierge CM said they send out a "packet" of information 90 days before your arrival. Some people have said they got a call from concierge, and some didn't. The packet is said to contain info for making PSs and other services concierge offers. Hope this helps!

Some resorts are excellent about contacting you prior to your stay, while other resorts are horrid (my upcoming concierge stay is, sadly, the latter).

If I were you, I would determine what PS reservations you wanted and then place a call to relay that information to the concierge. Once they have notified you that they have booked those reservations for you, please follow up and verify that they have really done so. I have been burned far too many times with certain concierge stays, and I have always placed my own calls to WDW-DINE in order to find out EXACTLY what was and what was not booked for me. I cannot tell you how many errors I have found with the reservations that the concierge had made for me. With the wonderful help of the WDW-DINE folks, I was able to correct all the mistakes. But that was because I did my "verification" phone call well in advance of my arrival. Had I waited until the end, I probably would not have been able to salvage most of those reservations. So, please, if you have any really important PS reservations (like Cinderella's breakfast or any of children's activities at the GF), verify yourself that they have been made properly (those events usually sell out well in advance of your vacation).

By the way, for the past few years, I have been making my own PS reservations via the WDW-DINE phone line. I do that for both non-concierge and concierge stays. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Should I even ask where your next concierge stay will be???

You cannot assume that the concierge is not wanting to help you just because you have not been contacted first. Keep in mind that the Itinerary Planning Office does the contacting for literally 1000's of guests and it becomes a little difficult when you are planning for at least half of these guests yet trying to keep up with contacting them all. Also the ratio of cast members planning for all these guests is not good. There are typically about 4 cast members planning for over 1000 reservations so give them a break. Call the concierge or simply respond to the form they send you in the mail and they will be more than willing to assist you. I may have not been contacted however, when I call, they always do their best to assist me with everything.
