does anyone know whether concierge guests are able to make advance reservations for palo or the spa?....
that is make reservations BEFORE boarding the ship?.....

Palo, yes. Spa, no.

I actually wonder now, after the fact, if I would have been better off waiting in line for the spa appointments. In the concierge meeting the spa rep had to continually run off to phone the spa to see if a time was available so I don't think it helped us any. What it DID help was when they screwed up and had my evening appointment set up for our first morning in port when we would be on an excursion. Concierge took care of that.

Actually ms1, I was the first in line when we cruised summer of 2002 and we did not have concierge service. I was very limited in my choices of times and when I looked at their reservation book, it was because 50% or more of the day (and in the best time slots) it was lined out and said "Concierge only". So you probably had the best service even if it didn't seem so at the time;)

do you know how early we can reserve palo?
when we were on the 3 day we didn't eat there since we didn't want to miss any of the regular rotation...
but on the 4 day, i would go for the last day regardless of what our rotation is (since that will be a repeat)....
if the kids decide they'd rather eat in the regular restaurant, i could always cancel it....
but given my aversion for lines of any kind, i'd rather not stand in any if i can make the reservations in advance....
as for the spa....it's not that critical....my daughter will want another massage on CC and on the 3 day cruise those were never fully booked anyway...so i don't suppose there will be much of a problem getting it again.....
i only ever get shiatsu, and i can do that at home so i don't have to worry about it.....

I booked my PALO ressies with the Concierge line almost 2 months out.

lotsofboys is correct. We booked all of our spa thru the concierge meeting. I originally booked just one treatment, but ended up booking three more. Aogan was incredible to MAKE the appointments work and get us in at all cost. I was a little off by the phone calls at first but it definitely worked out well for us.

thanks for the info...
i didn't think of asking about advance reservations last time..
i'll definitely take advantage of it for palo....one less thing to worry about....
