Concierge/PAT - Parking in NYC

We're sailing out of NYC. I know that Concierge does not need to check-in as soon as check-in opens and can arrive anytime. However, we plan to park at the pier and I read (somewhere?!) that you cannot park before your PAT. I can't remember if our documentation will have a PAT on it anyway? I'm concerned they won't let us park. What do you need to show to park? (I don't ever remember having to show anything at Port Canaveral.)

I think it's only Port Canaveral that checks PAT before accessing the parking garage, since that garage is only for the DCL terminal.
