Often dreamed about staying one time on a concierge level in a Deluxe Resort. When doing so, the morning, midday and evening snacks if you have an allergy could you request that foods be available other than fruit? Please advise if anyone has done this? Thank you!

Which resort you thinking god staying and what allergies do you have. They put out other things then fruit and they always willing to work with you they can get you think but not sure if they would put it out for everyone to have. You may have to ask and they will get it or have a chef come and talk to you. I wouldn't worry they or not book one if you want to try. I suggest the board walk inn it a nice lounge and I seem them handle allergies pretty well. Basically once the guest talk to them they remember them every time and would get them things or go over the food options.

Yes I stayed in concierge and they will help you but it's not comparable. Like I couldn't have any of the prepared apps or desserts but they could get me cheese and crackers from the back where they weren't cross contaminated. They would not cook something special. If you request something special they will try like I can only drink sugar free AND caffeine free soda and they don't mind getting something like that. If you ask for gluten free they will keep some prepackaged things on hand for you. If it's one simple common allergy they can call down to the chef and check but it's not easy. IN the morning they had lots of normal WDW foods and brand name cereals that were pretty easy to navigate (like hard boiled eggs, plain oatmeal, etc) but the snacks, apps, and desserts were not user friendly. The all day snacks were things like big jars of candy and chips so they could get me something prepackaged but no choice and had to wait for them to figure it out and find it. I loved concierge for the service and I didn't expect that I'd get all the normal food that was served so I was OK with it. My family had a great time so I'd do it again for a special trip. We've done AKL, WL, and beachclub.

We've stayed at Beach Club twice with our pn, tn, and shellfish allergic kids. Both times we were instructed to talk to the room service chef on the phone shortly after we arrived. Room service handles the food for the lounge. The chefs were clueless. The first time we stayed, the chef told us they don't serve shellfish, yet that very evening, bacon-wrapped scallops and lobster salad were served. The second visit, the chef told us we could request a plate of appetizers for the evening through the CL CMs, but it had to be done before noon and we had to tell them what of that evening offerings we wanted. He also was wrong about that evening's selection. The next morning, I asked a CL CM what that evening's menu was and she told me they never know what's going to be served until it arrives. Ordering by noon was useless. My kids stuck to fruit, cheese and crackers in the evenings. Breakfast was easiest. The kids ate cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. Afternoon snacks were served in big jars. Most were safe, however, after witnessing one guest (a 30-something man) stick his hands in every jar and grab, we skipped the snacks. Utensils were right in front of each jar. Desserts were completely off-limits. I didn't expect special foods to be prepared, but it would have been nice to get accurate information. We enjoy CL for the convenience of breakfast before the parks and grabbing some beverages later in the day. In our experience, CL with allergies is like dealing with most eating establishments in the real world, not the regular Disney restaurant level of care.

Dairy.

Thank you for the info. I will keep dreaming.
