We are sailing April in this cabin. It shows the rooms adjacent as concierge...we are not. Cat 4A. Just curious if there is a "lobby" of sorts between all of these cabins that we will have to be walking thru every day? Also didn't realize when we booked that we have an adjoining cabin. Anyone experienced additional noises from being adjoined to a room that you are NOT
sailing with? Thanks!

We've sailed on the Dream twice, never had any issues with noise from the adjacent rooms. We could have just been lucky but so far I feel like the rooms are isolated very well.

Thanks! I was hoping that was the case. I haven't read anything about people complaining about that sort of noise, but wanted to make sure

We've had connecting cabin doors in our staterooms on the Magic and Dream. People next door were not in our party. Although we have never had an issue with bad neighbors, my conclusion is that the connecting door does allow noises through, vs the walls, which seem well insulated for noise. Each cabin we would hear the neighbors at various times, but not the normal all the time noise (showers/dressing/chatting/tv at normal volume). It seemed most prevalent the first afternoon (unpacking, excited voices). I have seen occasional reviews from people who were next to crying baby, fighting family, or sick traveller (lots of coughing), but this seems to be uncommon. I've seen many more complaints about the aft vibrations on the Fantasy than complaints about the neighbors!
I'm not trying to be negative, because we never had a bad experience but don't want you to be suprised if you actually hear your neighbors or their kids. Lots of rooms have connecting doors, so they are hard to avoid.

We've been on 9 cruises. The only noises we have heard tend to be on the verandah, from shrieking kids running up and down the hallway and the time we were in a room over the theater (TRON Legacy is VERY LOUD)

We were on the Wonder a few months ago in a 4A, a couple doors down from the Walt suite and there was no concierge lobby or anything to walk through, just regular halls.

As long as you're not across from the laundry room, you should be fine. Connecting staterooms have never given us a problem, if anything, after chatting across the verandas, we've found those on the other side of the door are quite like us, fairly small groups, and ended up hoping there wasn't a loud group on the other side as well. Obviously if you were to press an ear up to the wall, i'm sure you could hear something or another, but if you're respectful and don't shout across your cabin whilst standing next to that connecting door- i'm sure they will pay you the same respect as well.

On the Wonder last month our cabin had a connecting door in it. We never really heard anything at all from the cabin next door until about half way through the cruise when a man in that cabin came down with a nasty cough. It was amazing how well we could hear him coughing through the door. It was almost like he was in our cabin with us.

We have had connecting rooms on the Fantasy and have heard noises but real faint and only during waking hours. We do try to avoid connecting rooms as well but not easy to do on the newer ships.

I had a connecting room on my last Magic cruise, and we heard LOTS of noise from the other room. It was pretty bad.

We were across from the laundry room on the Magic several weeks ago, and there was no problem. We were surprised by the number of people that did laundry!!

Do you mean adjoining or connecting? Every room on the boat has at least one adjoining room, but not all are connecting.

You also don't tell which ship you are cruising on. There's no way you can be on the Concierge floor but not in Concierge if you are on the Dream class ships.

We love the rooms near the laundry especially on the longer cruises. Noise from the laundry rooms have never bothered us either. Its is so easy to do laundry when you just have to go across the hall!

We are on the Magic, and 2 doors down from the Walt suite. Our rooms are connecting, sorry to leave that out

We had a 4a on the Magic right next to the Walt suite last year. It was awesome, especially since we booked Guaranteed Verandah Stateroom with Restrictions. I think you share the same room hosts, so you are sure to get the very best. Woo hoo!
