So how does this exactly work from the MS end of things?

I called on Sat. to book a trip using CC, and the point chart for that resort was (finally) available. The MS rep I spoke with seemed very knowledgable/helpful, and she put me on hold. She came back very apologetic and explained that while the DVC side of things was ready to go, the resort wasn't (someone forgot to tell somebody type of thing). She set everthing up in the system on their end, and told me to call back this week to have them call the resort and finish that end of things.

SO - called today - 1st time - seem to get a CM with a clue. Tries, but "their system just went down"?? Not sure what that means...didn't say what system - the phones seem to be working.... Anyway - try a little later. OK, no problem.

Call right before closing (maybe my mistake?), get a CM who seems to be without a clue (we don't have the 08 points yet - yes you do!) I finally at least get her to LOOK at my account, and she goes "Oh, yes, we're still waiting on the other resort." I try explaining that no- you need to CALL/do SOMETHING - they aren't going to just magically get in touch with you - to no avail. At this point - frustrated, I simply end the call - rather abruptly. (Why can't I get that "random survey selection NOW??!!)

I'm going to try back tomorrow, but I want to sound like I know what I'm talking about. Anyone have any insights as to the process so that I can push for what I need?

Ask for a supervisor when you call MS again. Explain what happened (with CM who didn't know what to do - maybe the Supervisor will have the 1st CM finish the reservation for you). I'm sure it will all work out.

Good luck!

Great suggestion... :thumbsup2

As DVC members we do not need to "put up with" MS cast members who know less than we do. I have never myself asked to speak directly with a manager/supervisor, but has anyone else done this with success? :listen:
