Concerns about Hawaii 2022

I'm booked to Hawaii on the 26th as well....just to make sure I have this correct:
1. You need to test negative to get into Canada
2. You need to test negative to get on the Wonder
3. You need to test negative to disembark to Hawaii

I'm fully vaxxed and boosted but my son traveling with us is two so not even eligible for vaccine....so at some point at sea we need to test him again to get do port adventures?

We are doing the opposite Hawaii cruise and wondering if DCL will test onboard so we could use that for entry into Vancouver before we debark.

If DCL does not test onboard prior to docking in Vancouver after the Hawaii-Vancouver cruise, how will debarking passengers meet the Canadian entry requirements as to the timing of pre-arrival Covid testing? I don’t know what the required timing will be for arriving cruisers, but currently those arriving by air must test within 72 hours prior to the departure time of the final leg of their flight into Canada. We’re booked b2b on both Hawaii cruises, so I recently checked what we would need to do to fly into Vancouver.

I specifically asked the shoreside concierge team this. They did not have an answer at this time. However, they are going to have to do on board testing, if that is still a requirement in May. Recall that they tested midway through the EBPC late last year. They have the ability to do this.

EDIT - I am wrong about the testing on the EBPC

We are on the May 6 Hawaii sailing and concerned about both Hawaiian and Canadian health restrictions.

A news article today leads me to believe that each port in Hawaii can require cruise lines to meet specific standards and require a contract agreeing to those standards. So far Maui is in contract with three lines, but not DCL. The contracts require, among other things, all passengers to be vaccinated. This means children under 5 cannot cruise unless DCL is able to negotiate a different contract. The lack of contracts may be why the ports do not show the Wonder.

The World Residences at Sea is third cruise line to sign port agreement in Hawaiʻi | Maui Now

We were on the EBPC in November and they did not do any testing while we were onboard since the ship was fully vaxxed. We tested when we arrived on the first day and that was it. So I really don't know what they will do for Canada and Hawaii. Definitely new territory.

As far as not seeing the Hawaii cruises on the website, I am sure there there have been a LOT of cancellations but they will probably prevent booking until they get things finalized with the ports. Our FB group had people cancelling daily, yet we couldn't change our room to anything other than GTY until (1) they finally announced the cruise was going to happen and (2) they assigned all GTY rooms. Once that was done, there was quite a bit of availability for new bookings. My guess is, if the Hawaii cruises can't happen, they do not want to give more refunds or FCC than they need to. And, at this point, they are trying to get the ship down to a certain threshold of passengers. It was sold out so to get it down to 50 or 60%, they need a lot of voluntary cancellations. The EBPC went out with around 900 passengers when all was said and done and that had been fully booked for a really long time. I expect Hawaii will probably be the same. I think the official announcement game right around the 60 day mark but I don't remember for sure.

Thanks for the correction on the testing. I could have sworn the EBPC has testing mid voyage.
