I have always wanted to do this at least once. Most of the time I talk myself out of it, because I feel like we could do some pretty nice eating for $150 more a day!
What are the benefits you enjoy?
Where is the cheapest place to stay conceirge?
If there is discounts for the room, is conceirge ever included??
I just read trip reports where people have had a great time and it was wonderful....

If you don't mind paying for upgraded service and amenities, then you might enjoy concierge. The offerings are not a food plan, and should be considered snacks, not a meal (except the continental breakfast).

Concierge offers personalized service--they will take care of your PS's and any other arrangements you might need, and generally if you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary while staying CL the event will be acknowledged with a cake or suitable momento.

You'll get robes in your room, automatic turndown service, additional toiletries, and other amenities that vary by resort.

You'll also get private check-in, and we've found that when the concierge has made your PS's, often its the best seat in the house.

WL seems to have the lowest CL rates, and they are sometimes available with various codes and other discounts.

For us, concierge is mainly worth because there is round the clock food, snacks, and drinks available for our kids (2, 4, 8, 10). You can eat breakfast before you hit the parks (and take along a few pieces of fruit for snacking on during the day)--and that was one less meal a day to pay for.

The food offerings were nice in the afternoon/evening to tide you over until dinner. And there was enough food to make a meal for the 2 and 4 yr olds.

If you're using it for "specialized" services, I don't think it's worth it. Who cares about bathrobes, we STILL waited 2 hours to check in with concierge, and we can easily make our own PSs.

So if you think you'll use the food/drink option, then I say go for it.

We stayed Poly CL last June and we are converts, DH won't even talk about going unless it is concierge now. We loved having the lounge to relax in when we came back in the afternoon to rest, especially since the older kids could go get a drink and watch cartoons with DH while the baby napped. I agree with Ducklite that we seemed to get better seats and faster when we let them make our PS arrangements for us. Particularly at Rainforest Cafe. There we some sort of mixup the day we were there and the wait, even with PS, was over an hour. We checked in and were immediately seated.
When we checked in the ladies from the planning office had picked up a Cinderella dress for my daughter and had it waiting on the bed for her, along with an autographed picture of Cinderella. They also sent a birthday cake for my other daughter, and balloons.
It was definitely a magical trip. We are trying BWI concierge this August and back to the Poly CL in December!
Also there is a new tour at AK that is available to Concierge guests only that is supposed to be fantastic.
We did get a discount on our Poly room last June, about the equivalant of rack rate LV regular room.

Poly & GF have a great C staff and food service. I was less than impressed with BWI and didn't feel neither the food was near what Poly/GF offers and the staff was just eh.

We stayed 2 times on the 7th floor of the WL great views by the way :flower:

DH won't go back unless it is there. We enjoyed breakfast each morning, and coffee at night. When we would come back to swim or rest, there was always a snack. I have done the PS's both ways -- and do not see a difference. The CM's have been able to get me seats with short notice though. If you can do it, It would be worth it.

We use concierge for the preplanning and lounge. With a family of 5 it is convenient for breakfast, snacks and appetizers before dinner. The lounge is an extension of our room. We never feel cramped in our room.

I believe WL in the least expensive CL.

We just got back from staying at the Poly concierge. It was fantastic. We got early check in, a great room and fantastic service. For our anniversary there were balloons, signed pictures of Mickey & Minnie and Cinderella & Prince Charming. We also got a nice Polynesian chocolate bar.

We've also had great concierge service when staying at the BWI.

we booked the poly con. for our trip in july, we haven't even gotten there and it has already been wonderful! I have sent Tara all our ps request and she has done a lot of planning for us already, including setting up tours and helping get things sent to our room for the little ones. (sis 8 & nephew 5) not having to wake up at the crack of dawn to fight to get a CRT ressie was worth booking con. by its self. Tara has been great answering all my questions and getting info back to me fast. she has made everything fast and easy. They've been this wonderful while we're still here I can't wait to see how great it will be when we get there! :Pinkbounc

We have stayed concierge several times and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time. In terms of being worth it for the food service alone, it’s definitely not. Concierge isn’t intended to replace meals (except for a light breakfast), just to offer nice snacks and treats like appetizers, desserts, cookies, etc. That being said, we love the food offerings and enjoy sampling the different items if we’d like a small snack between meals. Also, I have had some fantastic small desserts while staying concierge. Let me see if I can answer your questions:

What are the benefits you enjoy? I think the benefit I enjoy the very most is the feeling of pampering. I love that the concierge CMs will make your priority seatings for you as well as arrange activities like fireworks cruises, etc. I enjoyed getting pre-trip mailers from the concierge asking if they could help me with anything (I guess it just makes me feel special). I also like having someone there to help me with anything I need during the trip itself. Sometimes we change plans during the trip, and the concierge can often get some last minute PS’s.

Where is the cheapest place to stay conceirge? The least expensive concierge is currently Wilderness Lodge concierge.

If there is discounts for the room, is conceirge ever included?? Yes, concierge rooms are discounted with AP rates or general codes. You can even sometimes get AAA discounts on them as well. Suites are not discounted though.

I am in a gvc at the poly for my trip in may. It will be my first time in conceirge. I love the preplanning especially since they give you a heads up like epcot resturants closing early on the 4th of may and managing to get me the last seating so far available at CRT for dinner on the 5th of may. I told them if they extend resturant hours that day i will take a later seating if not i will keep the 5:45. the snacks will be nice the breakfast will be a lifesaver lol am not really a breakfast person. They have been very helpful especially sarah. lol will probably start being conceirge only my next trips to WDW.

We are heading to Poly LVC in July also! Can you send me the email contact info for Tara? I would like to get a jump start on a few PS's. I thought CRT could only be booked 90 days out? How did you already get a ressie for that?

Thanks for your help!

Thank you for all the wonderful responses.
I am going to budget for Wilderness Lodge to try it for 3 nights add on to OKW.

We don't feel the amenities are worth the price. I turn my bed down at home, I can do it there. We make our own PS's before leaving and most you can do while being there from any phone on property. Rbes, bring our own and the snacks, they are great but at WL they were like meals and we found that we skipped eating out at our other favorite disney resturants. If we skipped the conceirge meals for other resturants, why pay the big money for conceirge. No special big rooms, those rooms are the same size as regular, special view, about the same views as standard. Own floor with elevator room key access, big deal, there are just as many noisy people on conceirge level as all the rest. To us, its nice once but other wise over priced for alittle extras!

Several years ago we wer fortunate enough to be upgraded to concierge level at the Wilderness Lodge. Now the family won't stay anywhere else. When we start planning our trip my DD's want to make sure we are staying on the top floor at the WL. The CM's there are great. They always seem to manage to get us those last minute PS's when we change our mind about something. The food selection there is usually pretty good. It's nice to come back form the pool or the parks and grab a snack or a bite to eat on the way back to the room. We really take advantage of the breakfast offerings. There is always plenty to fill you up before heading to the parks. The extra service and attention is what I like the most. Usually all you have to do is ask a CM for something and they will go out of their way to get it for you.

TDERadulski,
I sent you a pm with the info for Tara! Hope she can help you too!
